Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need previous flooring experience? ›
No. Our Beginner pathway starts with tools, safety, layout basics, and practice boards. You will also learn how to inspect subfloors and interpret manufacturer instructions.
What tools are essential to start? ›
We recommend: tape measure, chalk line, tapping block, pull bar, spacers, jigsaw or track saw with fine-tooth blade, oscillating multi-tool for undercuts, PPE, and a shop vac with fine dust filtration.
How do your courses handle moisture concerns? ›
We cover moisture testing, vapor barriers over concrete, acclimation guidelines, and perimeter expansion planning. You will practice reading moisture meter data and documenting site conditions.
Can I learn patterns like herringbone or chevron? ›
Yes. Our pattern labs break down reference lines, angle control, waste reduction, and border considerations. We provide jig templates and on-site sequencing strategies.
Do you issue certificates? ›
Upon successful completion and project submission, we issue a skills certificate from RapidFrame Atelier. It recognizes training completion but is not a government license.
How long will I have access to the content? ›
Standard access is 12 months from enrollment. Masterclass bundles include 24 months. We also include downloadable templates and checklists you can keep.
What if I get stuck on a real project? ›
Use our office-hours forum to post measurements and site photos (with client permission). Instructors will point you to the right module and share targeted guidance.
Do you cover dust control? ›
Absolutely. We cover cut zones, negative pressure, zipper walls, filtration, and cleanup sequencing that keeps client spaces pristine.
